Fickle Friends are New Wave Indie Pop band from Brighton, UK. The band is comprised of Natassja Shiner , Sam Morris, Harry Herrington, Chris Hall and Jack Wilson.
Fickle Friends have only been on the scene for a few years now, but those years have proven themselves fruitful. Their summery, youthful sound swiftly earned them a solid local fan base and soon launched them onto the summer festival circuit. With a series of demos and a quirky amateur music video under their belt, the team of Brits hit the studio to polish their recordings.
In early 2014 Fickle Friends dropped their first single Swim, which garnered attention from music critiques at Pitchfork media. This saw a major spike in listens on Soundcloud (from a few thousand to over 500,000!).
Listening to this band is like waking up in a beach-side cabin in the middle of summer with all of your best friends; you just know you’re going to have fun. There is a clear 80’s pop influence and definite similarities to acts like Panama and New Navy, but front woman Natassja Shiner’s spot-on pop vocals provide a uniqueness that is as refreshing as cold watermelon on a sunny day.
