Cut down the plastic you bring – try not to bring single used plastic bottles. Bring refillable water bottles, or buy a Y Not branded refillable bottle and fill up from water points all over the site!

TENTS

TAKE YOUR TENT HOME WITH YOU! Every year 200,000 tents are left in UK festival fields. These can’t always be recycled and many of them go straight to spend a life in landfill. Leaving your tent to go into landfill has a huge environmental impact and we cannot shout louder that one of the most important things you can do to help the environment is taking your tent home.

We’re also joined by Pitch Village for the second year running. Their approach is simple… making camping convenient, and making tent waste obsolete.

We’ve put a number of tents on sale at very affordable prices so it’s the perfect middle ground between glamping and camping with the added bonus of doing something good towards the environment as well.

These are just baby steps in what we hope we can achieve in the next few years. We’ve already signed up to be a part of the Drastic on Plastic initiative, but we want to make sure that we’re not only creating an amazing weekend – we’re not ruining the beautiful Derbyshire Dales whilst we do it.
