TONY’s Top 5 New Tunes

Cassia – Replica

The freshest of fresh, this song was released last Friday and it brought us the sun for the weekend. It’s indie that feels like an ice cream on a warm day, akin to the late Viola Beach boys or vintage Vampire weekend tracks, we can’t wait to hear it in the field. Cassia will be joining us at The Quarry on Friday. Their new album by the same name will be released on 5th April.

Catfish & The Bottlemen – 2All

As we await the release of their new album ‘The Balance’, this is the third offering they have given us ahead of the main release and like ‘Longshot’ and ‘Fluctuate’, doesn’t disappoint. If you want to sing out loud, shout in the car or air guitar in the shower; this is the perfect soundtrack. We can’t wait for the new album, you’ll be missed this year boys!

Fat White Family – Tastes Good with Money

Proper moody little number this one and we love it. Sexy bassline, bluesy beat and the weirdest video of the lot. TONY likes to turn it up loud and walk like a badass round the office. Be like TONY.

Foals – Cafe D’Athens

Do you know what more songs need? A Xylophone, that’s what. This is one of the more relaxed tracks off the new album, the fading vocals and are unlike Yanis’ usual powerful melodies but it has it a dreamy quality that is easy to get lost in. The video is an artsy collage of flickering band shots, fading flowers and nostalgic fireworks. We recommend listening to it in its place in the new album Everything Not Saved Will be Lost Part 1. to fully appreciate it’s contrast to the other darker heavier tunes on offer. It’ll also sound fucking ace in a field on Saturday night as the sun goes down. YES YES bring on the festival!

Anteros – Call Your Mother

Technically cheating as this song came out last year but their new album ‘When We Land’  just came out and this is the first track.Full of teenage angst, 80s synths and 90’s Gwen Stefani vibe; the whole album is a corker. If you’re already into the likes of Blossoms and Black Honey this will be your new favourite band. Come check them out on the Main Stage on Saturday.
